Honeycomb Hex Black Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap

Honeycomb Hex Black Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap

Honeycomb carbon fiber vinyl wrap runs two pattern scales across the same surface. The base is a fine carbon fiber strand texture. Over it sits a hexagonal cell grid that divides the surface into a repeating geometric structure, so each cell contains its own section of carbon weave. The pattern reads differently up close than it does at a distance, which is something a single-scale carbon film does not produce. The matte finish absorbs direct light fully, so all the visual depth on this surface comes from the cell geometry itself rather than from surface reflection.

The honeycomb cell pattern makes stretch discipline more important than on random-texture films. Overstretching on tight curves pulls the hexagonal cells into oval shapes, which breaks the geometric structure visually. Up to 30% stretch keeps the cells intact across hoods, bumpers, mirror caps, and pillar sections

Features And Specifications

  • Pattern: Dual-scale honeycomb carbon fiber fine carbon strand weave at the base layer with a hexagonal cell grid structured over it. Each cell contains its own section of carbon weave, so the pattern operates at two scales simultaneously.
  • Color: Deep black.
  • Finish: Matte  absorbs direct light fully. All surface depth comes from the hexagonal cell geometry, not from reflection.
  • Durability: Rated for 3 years on exterior vertical surfaces.
  • Weatherproof: Resists moisture, humidity, and prolonged water exposure without lifting or bubbling.
  • Protective: Guards against surface corrosion, minor abrasions, and everyday staining.
  • Temperature range: Stable from -50°C to 110°C (-58°F to 230°F) in service.
  • Stretch: Up to 30%  critical limit for this film. Overstretching beyond 30% deforms the hexagonal cells from their geometric shape. Conforms to hoods, bumpers, mirror caps, and pillar sections within this range.
  • Adhesive: Solvent-based acrylic  bonds firmly, repositions clean before final press, and removes without leaving residue.
  • Installation: Air-release channel liner gives working time to align the cell grid before committing final pressure. Matte finish requires no polish or gloss upkeep after installation.

Recommendations

Recommended application tools: Squeegee, buffer, knife, masking tape, heat gun, magnets, gloves, IRR thermometer, sprayer, towel, and installation liquid
Application method: Standard methods for calendered films. No overstretching and overheating and Post heating is necessary.
Post-heating temperature: 110°C flat surfaces, 130°C curves, and overlaps
Aftercare: PH neutral, Avoid wax or solvents

Durability

The durability of the product is based on exposure conditions in South China. Actual performance life will depend on substrate preparation, exposure conditions, and maintenance of the product. For instance, in areas with excessively high temperature, industrial pollution, or high altitude, exterior performance will decrease.
