Clear Headlight Film with Air Channel Paper Liner

Clear Headlight Film with Air Channel Paper Liner

The Clear Headlight Film with Air Channel Paper Liner is a clear headlight protection film that shields your lenses without changing how they look. It stays see-through and glossy and lets nearly all your light through, while taking the stone chips, grit, bug splatter, and sun damage that would otherwise cloud and yellow the lens.

It goes on dry. Air-release channels let trapped air escape as you squeegee, so it lays down without bubbles, and the paper backing makes it easy to line up before it grips. The clear top coat is self-healing, so light scratches fade out with a little heat. Apply it over headlights, fog lights, taillights, side markers, and reflector lenses on any car where you want protection without a tint.

Features and specifections

  • Clear and glossy, so it protects the lens without changing its look or dimming the light.
  • Resists yellowing and hazing, so the lens stays clear instead of clouding over time.
  • Takes the stone chips, gravel, bug splatter, and grit that pit an unprotected lens.
  • Blocks UV that fades and yellows the factory lens coating.
  • Self-healing top coat: light scratches and wash swirls fade out with heat from a gun, hot water, or the sun. (confirm this film self-heals, see earlier note)
  • Goes on dry, with air-release channels that push trapped air out for a bubble-free, crease-free finish.
  • Paper backing peels cleanly and helps you position the film before it grips.
  • Clear acrylic adhesive slides and repositions while you work, then holds firm once set.
  • A warm pass helps it wrap the curved edges of a lens; post-heating helps it stay down.
  • Wash with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid wax and solvents.
  • Warm it to remove, and it peels without tearing.
  • Removal warning: on a lens that's already oxidized, yellowed, or has weak factory coating, peeling can lift the clear coat, so film lenses while they're still in good shape.
  • Fits headlights, fog lights, taillights, side markers, and reflector lenses.
  • Available in 1ft, 2ft, 4ft, 8ft, 16ft, and 32ft rolls, in a wide format that suits most headlights.
  • Lasts about a year on upright surfaces like headlight lenses.

Proper Installation

If the headlight surface is clean and undamaged before installation, the wrap adheres evenly and removes smoothly.

Proper Removal Technique

Using gentle heat (like a heat gun or hairdryer) softens the adhesive, making it easier to peel without pulling or tearing the headlight’s factory coating.

Warning

If the headlights are already oxidized, yellowed, or have weak factory coating, peeling the wrap can pull off clear coat or cause flaking.
