Gloss Light Black Headlight Tint Film

Gloss Light Black Headlight Tint Film

VinylFrog’s Light black headlight tint film darkens factory-clear lenses with a glossy smoke finish, while keeping the beam pattern and housing detail visible underneath. About 43% of light still passes through, so the look changes without sealing the lens into a full blackout.

The finish sets it apart. A high-gloss top layer sits over a see-through black base with a warm undertone. Under direct light it throws a soft amber-brown reflection instead of sitting flat, which is what separates it from the deeper satin and blackout tints in the range. It's built for drivers who want the lights darkened just enough to notice.

The film holds up too. A protected top layer sits over a strong adhesive that grips firmly but still lets you reposition it before pressing down for good. It handles temperatures from well below freezing to well above engine-bay heat without lifting or going soft. Built-in air channels let it settle onto curved lens surfaces bubble-free. Fits headlights, taillights, fog lights, and marker light housings.

Features And Specifications

  • Rated for 1 year of outdoor use on vertical surfaces like headlights and taillights
  • Lets about 43% of light through, so it darkens the look without killing visibility
  • Resists moisture, humidity, and everyday water exposure without lifting
  • Stands up to heat, UV rays, and minor scratches without cracking or fading
  • High-gloss finish that goes on clean and wipes down easily during regular washing
  • Comes with a protective top layer that peels away right before installation
  • Acrylic adhesive that grips firmly but stays repositionable until you press it down for good
  • Slides into place so you can adjust it before locking in the final position
  • Built-in air channels let you squeegee out bubbles and creases as you go
  • Holds its color under sun exposure instead of yellowing over time

Please Note: This light tint film is semi-transparent. The color may look slightly different on the white backing paper, but once the backing is removed and applied to your lights, you’ll see the true color.

Proper Installation

If the headlight surface is clean and undamaged before installation, the wrap adheres evenly and removes smoothly.

Proper Removal Technique

Using gentle heat (like a heat gun or hairdryer) softens the adhesive, making it easier to peel without pulling or tearing the headlight’s factory coating.

Warning

If the headlights are already oxidized, yellowed, or have weak factory coating, peeling the wrap can pull off clear coat or cause flaking.
